How to create a digital stamp card for your business in under 15 minutes

A step-by-step guide to designing a digital loyalty stamp card, publishing it to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, and getting your first customers to join.

A digital stamp card does the same job as the paper card by your till, except it cannot be lost, forged or forgotten, and it reports back to you. This guide walks through creating one with Loyyaly, from the reward rule to the first customer scan. Budget fifteen minutes.

1. Decide the reward rule before you touch the design

The rule is the program. Pick a stamp count that matches your ticket size and visit frequency. For a daily coffee, 7 to 10 stamps works. For a salon visit every six weeks, 5 or 6 keeps the reward within reach. Then pick a reward worth earning: the free tenth coffee, AED 50 off the sixth dinner, a free blow-dry.

  • Low ticket, high frequency: 8 to 10 stamps
  • Mid ticket, monthly visits: 5 to 6 stamps
  • High ticket, occasional visits: 3 to 4 stamps or a spend-based stamp (one per AED 100)

2. Create your account and pick a template

Sign up for Loyyaly, choose a stamp card template and set the total stamps and the reward text. The card designer shows a live preview of the pass as it will appear in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.

3. Brand the card

Upload your logo, set your brand colours and choose a stamp icon: a cup, a scissors, a paw. The card will sit next to your customers' bank cards, so it should look like it belongs there. Keep the text short. On a phone, your brand name and the stamp count are what people read.

4. Choose what to collect at sign-up

You decide which fields the sign-up page asks for. Many UAE cafés ask for a first name only so joining takes a few seconds at the counter. Add phone or email only if you will use them, and say why.

5. Publish and download your QR code

Publishing gives you a sign-up link and a QR code. Put the QR code where people wait: the counter, the menu, the receipt, the mirror at reception. Add the link to your Instagram bio and WhatsApp catalogue.

6. Install the Stamper App on staff phones

Create a sub-user login for each team member. Staff open the Stamper App, scan the card in the customer's wallet and tap once to add a stamp or redeem a reward. Every stamp is logged with the staff member and time. Busy counters can add a Wally NFC reader so the customer simply taps their phone.

7. Credit your existing paper cards

Switching should never punish regulars. When a customer with a half-full paper card joins, staff add those stamps on the spot. You retire the paper the same day.

8. Send your first message

A week in, message everyone one stamp away from a reward. It is the highest-converting message in loyalty, and it lands on the lock screen in seconds.

Keep joining to one scan. Ask for nothing at the counter; collect data through behaviour, not forms.

That is the whole setup. Start your free 15-day trial, publish the card, and watch the stamps arrive in the dashboard the same afternoon.
